Joint Cyber Security and IKP session on standards and good practices for offline key management.
Agenda
- Picking up from the Block 14 report on Privacy Enhanced Authentication and Key Management: one system holds the keys, another composes the transactions
- Good practice for offline keys: generation, air-gapped signing, backup, recovery, and key ceremonies
- Tiered key models: separating custody, signing authority and governance power
- Post-quantum exposure of cold storage: keys at rest, dormant funds, and planning migration for keys that rarely move
- Alignment with the wallet security assurance (ST/PP) work, and owners for the guidance draft
